The problem is more the iTunes purchases on one account and the email address on the other. It's certainly something I can work around; the rant is more that I have to use a workaround *because* I'm a paying customer with what seems to be a fairly common configuration. Just export to a local file from one account, log out and then log in to the other account, and import. The only problem then is the email address, but why not just setup forwarding to a new address and let the old address lie dormant?
